Club Notes 8th January 2017   07/01/2017

The club bingo takes place this and every Friday upstairs in Peacocks at 8.30pm. Imagine what you could do with the jackpot of €1500 to start the New Year!

The Nursery (4-5 year old boys and girls) & Academy (6-7 year old boys and girls) sponsored by Sky Handling Partner will resume on Saturday 14th January at 10am & 11.30am respectively after the Christmas break as we look forward to using our new equipment. New members are always welcome. We are always looking for parents to become involved in coaching also.

The Club is running a Foundation Level (Football & Hurling) coaching course on Tuesday 17th & Thursday 19th January from 7pm to 10.30pm both evenings in St Margarets GAA club. The course is free to St Finians GAA members/coaches/helpers. Please wear comfortable clothes and runners and bring a pen and notebook. Contact GPO James Devlin 0864000324 to register your interest.

Best of luck to Caroline Brennan from our adult LGFA team who is taking part in the Junior Dubs Star game in DCU St Claires on Sunday at 11.30am.
Best of luck also to Ciara Buchanan from our adult camogie team who is playing her first match as part of the Dublin Premier Junior Panel.

Registration will open soon for the annual Haul D’ Naul cycle in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland which will take place on Sunday 12th March.

Club Lotto - The club lotto jackpot on the 6th January was €1900 and the numbers drawn were 9, 15, 22, 23. There was no winner. Lucky Dip Winners of €25 were Jacqui Lynch, Ann Day, Emer Harmon. Next week’s jackpot is €2000. 

A big thanks to all the hardy annuals who played married v singles match on St Stephens Day and who donated the proceeds to the Irish Cancer Society.

Please support the National Club Draw, €10 per ticket. Tickets are available from Team mentors or any member of the Executive Committee and all funds raised will be retained by the club. Details of Prizes are on www.gaa.ie/nationalclubdraw .

Please note that River Valley & Ridgewood pitches will be closed until Sunday 15th January 2017. The first match of 2017 will be played on Saturday 21st January.

AIB will donate €50 to St Finians GAA Club for all new home insurance customers. When you get your policy number click on the link on the Club Facebook page to fill in the online form and choose St Finians Swords in the Club Drop down box.

Membership subscriptions for 2017 are now due. Payments can be made directly online under the Club Membership menu on the club website www.stfinians.com. Payments can also be made in the club office Monday to Thursday from 7pm or Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm by cash or credit/debit card. Membership forms can also be downloaded from the Downloads menu on the club website. 

The coffee shop will reopen Saturday 14th January at 10am, all are welcome for a cuppa and a chat.
