St Finians GAA Club would like to extend sincere sympathies to the McGrath & Murphy families on the passing of Mairead McGrath nee Murphy who died on Sunday morning. Funeral arrangements to follow. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dilís.

It was a good weekend for the Adult Hurling Teams who both won their matches in close encounters. The AHL 4 team beat St Vincents by a point on Sunday morning in Ridgewood. The AHL 9 team beat Scoil Ui Chonaill by 3-11 to 3-9 Ridgewood on Sunday afternoon.

Well done also to the Thomas Ashe Minor team who beat St Peters in River Valley on Sunday morning.

There were wins also for the the Under 15 LGFA & Camogie teams who beat St Sylvesters & Na Fianna respectively in away encounters.

Congratulations to the Under 14 Division 6 team who beat St Monicas in Edenmore.

Well done to the Under 13 LGFA who played their first league game in Division 3 on Saturday versus Balinteer St Johns.

Congratulations to the Under 10 girls who took part in a blitz with Lucan Sarsfields, Kilmacud Crokes, St Mary's, Ballymun Kickhams and Garristown to mark the official opening of Trinity pitches on Santry Avenue. A great day was had by all. Check out the Club Facebook for some photos of the occasion.

A reminder that all juvenile members are invited to walk with their team in the Swords St Patrick's Day parade accompanied by their parents wearing their St Finian’s colours. The parade starts at 11am and all parents & children are requested to meet in Coláiste Choilm car park on the Forest Road at 10am. Team mentors will be in touch with parents over the coming days. Thanks as always to Nick Collier from Collier Transport who provides the truck for the club members to stand on and in always ensuring that it adheres to the required safety standards.
Everybody is invited back to the clubhouse for some ceol agus craic & refreshments afterwards from 12.30pm onwards - all are welcome.

The Nursery & Academy sponsored by Sky Handling Partner will take a break on Saturday 18th March but will resume at the normal times on the following week at 10am & 11.30am respectively.

Please note that the pitches in River Valley are closed until the 17th of March and teams cannot play games or use the River Valley GAA pitches for training until the 17th of March.

A reminder that the Easter Camp will take place from Tuesday 18th April to Friday 21st April. Prices are €35 for 1st child member, €60 for 2nd child member and 3 children plus €70. For non-members it’s €50. Those registered attending the Nursery & Academy are classified as members.
Parents can also register their children using the ‘book and pay online’ option under the Easter Camps menu on the Club Website www.stfinians.com.

Congratulations to Teegan Coomber from the Under 15 LGFA team who was selected to for the Dublin Under 14 panel to play against Kildare on Saturday in the first round of the Leinster championship.

A big thanks to Martin Halpin who organised the Haul D Naul cycle today in aid of Downs Syndrome Ireland. Thanks also to Down Syndrome also for their contribution to the club for the use of the facilities.

There's a table quiz in aid of Loreto College in Peacocks on Thursday 16th March at 8pm. €10 per person, tables of 4. As St Finians GAA Club is working together with Loreto in building the new All Weather Pitch, club members & supporters are encouraged to support this fundraising event for the school.

Rory’s Stories of Republic of Telly and Facebook fame is coming to St Finians GAA Club on Saturday the 15th of June with further details to follow.

Membership subscriptions for 2017 are now due. Payments can be made directly online under the Club Membership menu on the club website www.stfinians.com. Payments can also be made in the club office Monday to Thursday from 7pm or Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm by cash or credit/debit card. Membership forms can also be downloaded from the Downloads menu on the club website. For insurance purposes, it is essential that adult players and Juveniles who play on under 8 teams and upwards have their subscriptions paid in advance of the new season.

Club Lotto - The club lotto jackpot on the 10th March was €1500 and the numbers drawn were 6, 12, 21, 22. There was no winner. Lucky Dip Winners of €25 were Cora & Myra, Margaret Hand, Grainne O'Connell. Next week’s jackpot is €1600. 

The club bingo takes place this and every Friday upstairs in Peacocks at 8.30pm. The jackpot is €1200!

The coffee shop is open every Saturday morning from 10am to 1pm, all are welcome for a cuppa and a chat.
