St Finians GAA Club, Swords - Club Notes 06/07/2015

It was a good week for our Adult footballers with the Intermediates winning on Saturday against St Brigids and the Juniors beating Portobello on Sunday.

The Adult Camogie team played Lucan on Tuesday night in their Summer Cup match and recorded a great win.  Next match is at home on Tuesday 7th July against Na Fianna at 7.30pm.  Win this and they are into the semi-final.  Let’s see lots of home support for the girls.

The Gaelic for Mothers and Others participated in the Leinster Blitz in Trim GAA Club on Saturday.  A great day was had by all and the team were very happy with their performance, as they improved with every game.  Their season is over now but will get together again in late August and new players are very welcome.  We would like to thank Nuala Halpin for her work in fostering good relationships with opposing goalkeepers.

The Under 15 lads also had a fine win, away from home, on Thursday evening against Clan Na  Gael.  The four point win was built by some excellent performances, particularly from Brian Lynch, Frederico Mazzola and Jack McCabe.  Well done all.

Former Dublin footballers, Barry Cahill and Bryan Cullen will join 98FM GAA presenter Stephen Doyle with a brand new GAA focused radio show, Dublin Talks GAA, which will be a live broadcast in Peacocks, Swords on Friday, July 10th from 7pm.   Please see St Finians Facebook and Twitter pages for a chance to win free tickets to this event (over 18's only).

Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped out with selling lotto tickets in Supervalu Boroimhe on Saturday.

Special mention and best wishes go to Liam Kiernan who suffered a nasty arm break when representing the club on the Dublin development squad last week.  We wish him a speedy recovery.

The Lotto jackpot was €3,800 this week and the numbers drawn were 3, 6, 10, 14.  There was no jackpot winner.  The winners of the €25 lucky dip prizes were:  Emer Reilly, Gerry Drumm, Ella McKenna and Emer Wright.  Next week’s jackpot will be €3,900.
